Starfish - Year 4

Hello Starfish!

Welcome back to Starfish's home learning area, I hope you all had a fantastic half term! Thank you to everyone who has sent pictures in, it is fantastic to see what you have been up to, keep them coming! smiley

I have put up the work for this week and you can find it all below. Try to complete as much as you can and I hope you enjoy it!

Remember about the brilliant BBC Bitesize daily lessons and Oak national academy, which I would strongly recommend you try out! smiley

Starting from this week the school is opening for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. This means that more teachers will be in school each day. So me and Mr Waterman will be sharing who sets the work each week, this week I have set the work, so I look forward to seeing what you all get up to!

Don't forget to scroll down to have a look at what Miss Wright and Mrs Newbould have been up to!

I will be giving feedback on one piece of work per child per week.

All work should be sent to starfishandjellyfish2020@gmail.com

  • All pieces should be sent by 3:00pm on a Friday and feedback will be given to you before the following Monday.
  • Take a photo of your work, clear enough for me to read, email it and I will email you back with feedback. You can also send it in using Word or PowerPoint.

Riddle for the week:

What has 88 keys but cannot open a single door?

Previous weeks answer:

What belongs to you, but other people use it more than you? Your name!

Well done if you were able to solve it!

As always, I am thinking of you all and keep up the fantastic work, you are super Starfish!

  • If you are in the photo, make sure it doesn't show your name.
  • If you are not in the photo, just put your first name.
  • All photos should be landscape.

Send your photo to:

In the subject box, please write, 'Photo - followed by your class'.

You must make sure you have your parents' permission to send in any photos.

Fantastic work Starfish, keep it up!

This is a great resource and covers a wide range of topics and subjects. Complete a couple of sections from the booklet every week. smiley

Hello my lovely Starfish!
This week I was working at the school and it felt really empty without you. Mr Harrison mentioned the pompoms, so here is a picture of the one I made. I have also been busy painting pebbles. Why don't you give it a try, it's great fun! You could even make your own game of naughts and crosses. All you need is 10 pebbles and some paint or nail varnish. You can paint 5 ladybirds and 5 beetles, like mine, or invent your own style. I would love to see your creations, so why don't you send a photo for our class photo board.

Have a lovely half term. I miss you all.

Mrs Newbould

Hi Starfish!

I hope you are keeping well? I have been trying to keep busy exercising and enjoying the weather at the moment, the sunshine has been lovely!

I've seen all your home learning work that you have been doing, last week I was at school with Mr Harrison and he showed me some of the work you have sent in, it is fantastic! You are doing so well with the home schooling. Keep smiling and stay positive, hopefully we will see you soon!

I went on a walk to Orwell Country Park the other day and I couldn't believe how big it was! It was a very long walk and took me quite a few hours in the sunshine. While I was there I wrote a message in the sand and I thought I would show you. smiley

We do miss you lots but you ae doing such a great job!

Keep smiling!

Miss Wright!
