Penguins - Reception
Spring Term 2022
Dear Parents and Carers,
Happy New Year to you all! It has been lovely seeing the children return to school after their break full of energy and enthusiasm for the learning we are going to be doing this term.
This term, our topic is going to be 'Transport' so the children need to 'hop on board and prepare to blast off' to discover adventures from the past to the present day! Please see our curriculum map below for more information.
Our main stories we will be reading this term are:
The Hundred Decker Bus
The Train Ride
Dragon Dance: A Chinese New Year
Stories around emergency vehicles
Zoom, Rocket, Zoom
Little People, Big Dreams: Amelia Earhart
Up, Up, Up!
We will continue to use Tapestry, our online learning journal, to make observations on your children. Please remember to look at how much learning is going on in our classes. If you are having any technical issues, do let Mrs Maudsley know.
We have sent emails out to you all explaining that we will be having 'show and Tell' through Tapestry, your child will be given a date when they can show pictures that you have uploaded to Tapestry.
