How do we assess at St Margaret's?
We use a range of assessment tools to assess where the pupil's are in their learning within their national curriculum programme of study and attainment targets. Pupil's work is marked each day, or live in lessons and teacher's feed back verbally face to face or by a written comment in the child's book. Please see the marking and feedback policy if you would like to read more about this. Assessment is formative, summative and assists in future planning. We then use a system for tracking learning, called Target Tracker, which records all the learning the child has made and this is fed bcak to parents at the end of term and year.
