Message from Miss Bugg laugh

Hi Seahorses.
Let me start by saying I miss each and every one of you lots and lots!!
I miss your smiles, all your different personalities and your rubbish jokes!!

I hope that you are all staying safe, looking after yourself and of course all your family.
I am sure that you have all done some fantastic work and learnt loads of new cool things!

You should all be proud of yourselves, it’s not easy not being at school and seeing all your friends and doing your learning as normal, but remember this won’t last forever and for now it is important you all stay safe at home with your families.

I have been going on lots of nice walks making and painting flower pots and staying up past my bedtime to watch for shooting stars!!

I Miss you all, and hope to see you soon.

Miss Bugg xx

We will found out about their rulers, the buildings they made, the special ways they treated people when they died and their daily life. There will be some research and some things to make or draw.

This week you will be finding out all about Ancient Egyptian mummies; why and how they were made. It's a little bit gruesome to us but very important to the Ancient Egyptians.

Science

In science we are going to be finding out more about the human body. At school we have already learnt that our diet is the food we eat and that nutrition is the vitamins, minerals and energy that our body absorbs from our diet. Some people have a healthy diet and some have an unhealthy diet. Most people have a diet that has some healthy and some unhealthy foods.

We are going to find out more about which foods are healthy, about different types of skeleton and our skeleton.

Art

This week in Art we are going to be creating concentric circle artwork in the style of Kandinsky! I hope you have fun! smiley

R.E.

This half term we will be learning about Judaism. We will be using a new word

  • covenant (promise)

and finding out about the promises God made the Jewish people.

Judaism - let's find out about the Ten Commandments and think about how they affect the lives and behaviour of Jewish people

Handwriting - Take lots of care when you practise your handwriting. Remember all letters sit on the line and should be the same size, ascenders are tall and descenders go below the line. Most letters join BUT there are a few that do not! Capital letters NEVER join. q y j g z x do not join to the next letter
