We want to wish you all a very warm welcome to St Margaret's Church of England Primary School.

As we look forward to getting to know our new families joining our school community, and as we begin our transition activities for this year. We will use this page as a hub to hold all of the information that you need as you prepare for September and your children starting school. Some of you will already have children in our school and so will be familiar with some of the information about the school, but for some of you this will be the beginning of your journey at St Margaret's. We hope that, whichever the case, you will find this page informative and helpful.

Please rest assured that we have a robust transition in place.

Important dates

Transition meetings: Thursday 16th June or Friday 24th June. These are 10 minute meetings with Mrs Maudsley in school. If you were not able to attend the New Starters Meeting, please phone the school office and book an appointment.

Classes: You will be sent an email on Monday 27th June to inform you which class your child will be in - either Penguin or Puffin Class

Induction Morning: Wednesday 29th June 9.30 - 11.30 a.m

Please bring your child to the Cobbold Street entrance to gain entry to the playground. This is a 'stay and play' session, an opportunity for you and your child to meet the Early Year's staff and familiarise yourselves with the setting. We can only allow one adult to stay with a child, thank you.

Storytime sessions: Please sign up for a story session on either Monday 4th July or Thursday 14th July. Both these sessions will run from 2.30 - 3.00 pm. You are welcome to stay with your child or if they are happy to, your child can attend independently.
